Stretched timing chain 1.4 TSI (CAXA, EA111)
1.4 TSI engines with the CAXA code – fitted to the Golf V, VI, Touran I, and Passat B7 – are notorious for a factory timing chain defect. From as little as 80,000–100,000 km a characteristic rattle appears on cold start along with cam-timing fault codes (P0016, P0341). We carry out a full chain replacement with a complete set of guides and tensioners, using a crankshaft lock and dial gauge – with no risk of disturbing the cam timing.
DSG DQ200 mechatronics – judder and limp mode on Golf VII 1.4 TSI
The dry DSG DQ200 (7-speed), fitted to the Golf VII 1.4 TSI 125–150 PS, is the most frequent reason Golf owners visit our workshop. Kangaroo-style judder on take-off, delayed gear engagement, and a sudden drop into limp mode typically appear after 60,000–80,000 km. We regenerate the mechatronic unit, change the oil in both separate circuits, and reset the gearbox adaptations via VCDS.
Blocked DPF and EGR valve – Passat B7/B8 2.0 TDI
The Passat B7/B8 with the 2.0 TDI 150 PS engine is primarily a long-distance car – on short urban runs the DPF clogs faster than it can self-regenerate. This is compounded by a carbon-fouled EGR valve that accelerates soot build-up. We clean the DPF chemically and ultrasonically, regenerate the EGR valve, and carry out a VCDS-forced regeneration – without cutting out the filter.
Dual-mass flywheel – VW Transporter T6 and Caddy 2.0 TDI
Transporter T6 and Caddy owners with the 2.0 TDI know that a dull thud on start-up and vibration at idle are the first signs of a dual-mass flywheel (DMF) and clutch replacement. On a T6 that comes to 2,500–4,000 zł all-in including labour – rather than paying main-dealer rates, bring it to us: we fit LuK and Sachs kits with a warranty.
