2.0 TFSI EA888 CAEB CDNC oil consumption – repair Kraków
A factory defect in EA888 Gen1/2 engines from 2008–2013 (codes CAEB, CDNC, CCZB) – excessively thin piston rings become coked and allow oil to pass into the cylinders. Typical consumption exceeds 1 L per 1,000 km. Consequences: blocked catalytic converter, damaged turbocharger, risk of engine seizure. The only lasting repair is replacing the pistons with Gen3 units fitted with wider rings – we carry out a full short-block rebuild with a documented invoice.
Audi 2.0 TFSI EA888 B8 timing chain – cold-start rattle
The plastic timing chain tensioner in A4 B8, A5 8T and Q5 8R models with the 2.0 TFSI engine (2008–2012) loses tension prematurely on cold start. The characteristic metallic rattle on start-up, along with codes P0011, P0016, P0341, is the tell-tale sign. Left unattended it leads to the chain jumping and bending the valves – we replace the complete kit including tensioners and guides.
S tronic DL501 0B5 mechatronic failure – Audi A4 A5 A6 Q5
The seven-speed dual-clutch S tronic DL501 gearbox (fitted to A4 B8/B9, A5, A6 C7, Q5) requires periodic oil changes and adaptation. Mechatronic failure presents as harsh shifts between 1st–2nd or 3rd–4th gear, limp mode, and loss of even or odd gears. Codes: P17D8, P174B. We carry out VCDS diagnostics, TCU adaptation, and mechatronic regeneration without requiring full gearbox replacement.
Intake swirl flaps P2015 Audi 2.0 TDI 3.0 TDI
The plastic intake swirl flaps in the inlet manifold of 2.0 TDI and 3.0 TDI engines (A4 B8, A6, Q5, Q7) come loose or seize – triggering the Check Engine light with codes P2015, P2006. In extreme cases broken flaps enter the combustion chamber. We fit aluminium limiters and remap the ECU – faster and cheaper than replacing the entire manifold at over 1,700 zł.
MMI 3G repair Audi A4 B8 A6 C7 Q5 – black screen, freezing
The MMI 3G multimedia system (2008–2015: A4 B8, A5, A6 C7, Q5 8R) exhibits typical faults: black screen, frozen interface, lost Bluetooth, unresponsive rotary controller, GPS navigation errors. Cause: failed hard drive, overheating processor, or detaching connectors on the main board. We diagnose and refurbish the MMI unit – without rushing to replace the entire module at several thousand złotych.
