Tyre change and tyre service in Kraków

Seasonal tyre change, a nail in your tyre or the pressure warning light on after a wheel change? We change tyres and swap wheels at two workshops – open until 22:00 on weekdays – repair tyres and rims and store tyres between seasons.

We change tyres and swap wheels at both our workshops: in Nowa Huta and Prądnik Czerwony. We're open Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–10:00 PM, and Saturdays, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, so you can have your tyres changed after work too. We handle steel and alloy wheels from R13 to R24, on cars and SUVs, including run-flat tyres.

Tyre change and repair services

Seasonal tyre change

We change the tyres on your rims or swap the complete wheels – always with balancing, which is included in the price. The difference between the two is explained below.

Nail or screw in the tyre

We assess whether the puncture can be safely repaired. If not, we'll tell you straight that the tyre needs replacing.

Pressure warning light after a wheel change

We save the new pressures in the TPMS or program the sensors in the valves.

Rim bent by a pothole or kerb

We repair alloy wheels and straighten steel ones. If a wheel loses air at the bead, we clean the rim's bead seat.

Tyres for next season

We store tyres, or complete wheels on rims, for the season. No need to keep them in your basement or on the balcony – they'll be waiting here for your next change.

Leaking valve, worn-out tyres

We replace valves and take in worn-out tyres for disposal.

Service Price List

Tyre change or wheel swap?

A tyre change means taking the tyres off the rims and fitting your other set onto the same rims. Choose it when you have one set of rims for two sets of tyres.

A wheel swap means swapping the complete wheels – tyres together with rims. Choose it when both sets of tyres are already on separate rims. It's quicker and cheaper, because the tyres don't have to come off the rims.

Either way, we balance the wheels, set the pressures according to the placard in the car and tighten the wheel bolts to the manufacturer's torque. After about 50 km, check that the bolts are still tight – that's what ADAC recommends. You can come back to us and we'll tighten them with a torque wrench.

Tyre and wheel storage

After a seasonal change, you can leave your tyres or complete wheels with us. Storage is charged per season – separately for a set of tyres and a set of wheels – and we can bag them on request. They'll be here for your next change, so there's no need to transport them or keep them in your cellar. You'll find prices in the price list above.

Wheel alignment in Nowa Huta

Car pulling to one side after a tyre change, steering wheel off-centre or tyres wearing unevenly? We carry out wheel alignment on a 3D alignment system at our Nowa Huta workshop. If steering wheel vibration or pulling persists after balancing and alignment, worn suspension may be the cause – our car mechanic will check it.

Tyre change questions

How much do a tyre change and tyre storage cost in Kraków?

The price of a tyre change depends on the rim size, whether the rim is steel or alloy, and whether the car is an SUV. There's a surcharge for run-flat tyres, and balancing is included. Storage is charged per season – separately for a set of tyres and for a set of wheels with rims. All prices are in the price list.

When should I switch to winter tyres, and are they mandatory in Poland?

In Poland, winter tyres are not mandatory. Tyre manufacturers recommend switching when the temperature regularly drops below 7°C. What is mandatory is the minimum tread depth – 1.6 mm, or down to the tread wear indicator if the tyre has one.

Why is the tyre pressure light on after a tyre change?

In cars with an indirect system, the new pressures have to be saved after the change – with a button or in the car's menu. This is how it works on many VW, Skoda and Audi models. In cars with sensors in the valves, the sensors may need programming.

Can a tyre with a nail in it be repaired?

Usually yes, if the hole is in the central part of the tread and no larger than 6 mm. A damaged sidewall or shoulder can't be safely repaired, and neither can a tyre that has been driven flat. For run-flat tyres, some manufacturers allow one repair and others none – we check this for your tyre.

I've lost my locking wheel bolt key – what now?

Come to us and we'll remove the locking wheel bolts. Afterwards you can fit standard wheel bolts or a new set of locking ones.

How old can tyres be?

Polish regulations don't limit tyre age, but Michelin and Continental recommend replacing tyres after 10 years at the latest. The production date is given by the last four digits of the DOT code on the sidewall: week and year.

Is it safe to straighten an alloy wheel?

A bent but uncracked rim can usually be repaired. Before we accept a rim for repair, we assess its condition – if a repair wouldn't be safe, we'll tell you.
